PlayStation Light Gun Games Subset

About

If you grew up having a PlayStation 3 as your first game system, chances are you don’t know what a light gun game is. That is, in using an actual plastic gun controller compared to a Wii-Mote or a PS3 Move wand. Back in the older days, light gun games were excellent party games, and were most popular at the arcades. Many of those games would come home to the original PlayStation and Sega Saturn.

As time went on and TV technology changed, the way light guns worked was no longer compatible with the modern television. While the Wii acted as a somewhat last bastion of hope for the genre, they’ve quietly been retired in favor of first person shooters and online multi-player. If you really want to experience these games as they were meant to be played, you would need an old ‘tube’ style CRT television and the proper light gun.
