Trivia
- The game mixes fresh, original movie clips along side several from the original films.
- Console wise, the original Rebel Assault was available on the 3DO and the Sega CD. A character from the first makes a surprise cameo appearance in this version.
- There are several stages that have ‘forced damage’, meaning you will take damage no matter what. These stages usually require an almost perfect run taking out the enemy units, as their added damage will drive you into a quick death.
- A surprise honorary guest in the “Light Gun” category. If you have the Konami Justifier (or any similar light gun), you can use it in the 3rd person, ‘on foot’ sequences. It’s not quite the real thing, but more or less an invisible mouse cursor. This is essentially the nod to the cover’s “Custom PlayStation Edition” decal.
