Secrets

NBA In the Zone 98 uses sneaky techniques to bring in real NBA players they didn’t license.

  • Unlock All-Star Teams
    Select “Start” on the title screen and hold L1+R2+Select+Start until the screen fades out. The All-Star team will be selectable in Exhibition Mode. Press Right till they appear in the team tumbler.
  • Play as Charles Barkley
    He’s already on the roster, named C.FORWARD on the Rockets. Just move him into the active squad.
  • Play as Larry Bird
    Create a new player, then select model 29. Then add them to the team.
  • Play as Magic Johnson (well…maybe)
    Create a new player, then select model 25. Then add them to the team.
  • Play as Michael Jordan
    He’s already on the roster, named M.GUARD on the Bulls. Just move him to the active squad.
  • Play as Shaquille O’Neal
    He’s already on the roster, named S.CENTER on the Lakers. Just move him to the active squad.
  • Play as Darrell Armstrong
    He’s already on the roster as D.GUARD on the Orlando Magic. Just move him to the active squad.
