  • Myst was incredibly popular on the PC, and was ported to more or less every possible system it could be, including the Laseractive. That version however, never made it past beta due to a transitioning glitch in the hardware.
  • Psygnosis handled the worldwide release of the game except for Japan, where Sunsoft and Softbank took care of it. It was also eventually released under the Simple Series.
  • Myst’s sequel Riven, takes home the PlayStation award for ‘largest physical game’ on the system. Spanning a monstrous 5 Discs, it needed a special double jewel case to house all of them plus the manual. The only game that comes close is Arc the Lad Collection, but that doesn’t count as it’s a set of games and not just one.
  • The game is much more enjoyable with the mouse, due to quicker movement.
