Magazine Ads
Announcement 3-Page Ad
Such a great poke at one of their other franchises. The “Let the Meek Inherit the Earth” is a playful nod to Mortal Kombat 3’s attract screen quote, “The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth”. This was a fold-out; the white cover was on the right, and then it opened to the two-page spread buried in the magazine.
Already rocking out the Dreamcast, this was to let people know it was coming to the PlayStation and Nintendo 64. Click here for high-res version.
2-Page Ad Post-Release
With all three versions now available, Midway upgrades the magazine ad to two pages. Of interest is the “4 Players” comment with the asterisk. The tiny fine print lets you know it’s just for the Nintendo 64. An extra screenshot and some updated copy round out the ad. Click here for high-res version.
Trivia
- Released 6 months after the Dreamcast port.
