Variants
Interact Accessories was able to secure a demo pack-in with Eidos. A disc-only copy of Eidos Demo III was placed in a thin plastic sleeve and stuffed into controller boxes. A sticker was placed on the front to call out the included disc. Why the clear plastic sleeve and not the cardboard sleeve it already had?
Width! The cardboard sleeve was a hair’s width wider than the controller’s packaging. Interact used a pliable sheet, and the already included paper inserts to act as “packing material” to keep the essentially disc-only copy safe from cracks. It worked, and folks looking to save money on Sony’s 1st party controller could enjoy some demos for their choice.
