Secrets

Machine Hunter has a very swell set of programmer’s cheats, and you can access them in two different ways – individually, or a master list.

PASSWORDS

Select the Password option from the menu screen and type in the following choices:

  • Activate Exit areas
NO MISSION – You’ll hear a sound to confirm. This auto-completes the mission so you can just haul butt to the exit.
  • All Pick-Ups
LAZYPLAYER – You’ll hear a confirmation sound. Have all the available pick-ups.
  • Fight Bosses Only
GET SACKED – A sound confirms. You’ll only fight the bosses.
  • Invincibility
INVINCIBLE – A sound will confirm entry. Take no damage.
  • One Shot Kills
GRIMREAPER – A sound will confirm entry. Become a murder machine with 1-hit kills.
  • Master Code Sheet
???HOST??? – A sound will confirm. When the game returns to the title screen, it’s now called “Host” with a Cheat Option in the list. This will give you access to toggles for all password entered cheats. Note this is the only way to activate the Unlimited Upgrades Cheat.
  • Shows Credit
SHOWCREDIT – A sound will confirm. This displays just the end credits.
  • Unlimited Continues
**URANUS** – A sound confirms entry. Your continues never go below x3.
  • Unlimited Upgrades
2UNLIMITED – There are no numbers in the keyboard. Activate this cheat by using ???HOST??? above and activating it from the title screen’s cheat menu.
  • View End Movie and Credits
**SATURN** – After the confirming sound, you’ll see the ending movie automatically play.
  • Start as Spider-Droid
DEMODROIDS – You’ll start the game as a purple and white spider-droid.
  • Flip the Screen
HACKER (and then 4 spaces) – A sound will confirm entry. Literally the entire game is backwards.
  • Alternate Opening
SHOWDROIDS – A sound will confirm. Let the game’s title screen naturally cycle and you’ll see a diffeent opening sequence.
