As October 2025 comes to a close, the PlayStation universe has seen a ton of things going on. Tekken 3 came out on the PS5, The SuperStation One, an FPGA system designed to reference the PSone, is on the horizon. Playmaji and their Polymega continue to release fantastic game collections, with their newest batch hiding PS1 games. Backlogs are being inspected to save money in an increasingly challenging world, but more importantly, the PlayStation Library continues its forward momentum.
Bo from Rings of Saturn continues his amazing deep dives into PS1, Saturn, Dreamcast, and even 3DO games, unlocking every last unpublished and undiscovered programmer’s cheats and passwords. I can not stress how important his and his fellow hackers’ journey is, as it’s the final undiscovered country for the PlayStation outside of a guide for every released game.
It’s truly inspiring, and it’s allowed me to take a small step back from Project Up1, becoming more of a second set of eyes to Bo’s research rather than blindly exploring through a GameShark Pro. These precious extra time slots have allowed me to start deep diving into games whose only guide is just questions and answers. It’s the final frontier of archiving ripe for the conquest.
Wheel of Fortune 1 was just the start. I’m currently 10% through Jeopardy 1, and once done, I’ll move on to other trivia games before returning to Wheel of Fortune 2 and Jeopardy! 2. Oddly enough, there is a final boss to this side quest, and it dwarfs everything in its path. More on that when the time is right.
Jeff over at I AM ERROR and Shawn at MemCard.art continues their misprint and memory card icon archive adventures respectfully. I am consistently impressed with their findings and reporting.
These are just a handful of players in the PlayStation universe you should be following. As 2026 races towards its arrival, I can safely say that I have never felt more proud to do what I do, with the people I work with, and all of you who share in that journey. I know the world is scary right now, but keep pushing forward. Run toward joy regardless of who or what brings it, and we’ll all stay sane.
Thank you for everything you do, including reading the ramblings of an aging librarian. 🙂
