Content
Write Away is a 1980’s educational program with a unique twist. The actors perform stories written and submitted by real students, usually between the 2nd and 6th grades. Within the context of the show, it offers insight into the writing process from the angle of a child. Imagine if Sesame Street were performed in the style of Saturday Night Live. Each disc contains several episodes and stories.
Disc 1 contains the following stories:
- Write Away Episode 1 Introduction
- The Magic Umbrella by Deeana Downes
- In My Desk by Jonathan Garcia
- Baby Nathan by Mrs. Brozda’s Second Grade Class
- Wonder Parrot by Derek Lawson
- The Butterfly Ballet by Anne McCorkhill
- Team Work by Zachary Frank
- The Mixed Up Googles by Anna Bell and Sarah Berryman
- The Boy Who Went to Space by Nicolas Allen
- Write Away Conclusion

Trivia
- The performers are from The Imagination Machine, which is still going strong in the present day. They even still retain their trademark overalls.
- None of the Write Away discs have manuals, likely because they wouldn’t need them. The discs are the PlayStation equivalent of a DVD. It’s just videos to watch.
