Season Kicks off Today!

Team in control of Their Destiny.
Total Control Tackling means you decide if you want to take a calculated risk and go for the big hit to jar the ball loose or make a sure wrap tackle on a slippery ball carrier. Total Control Passing allows you to lead your speedy wide out or under throw receivers in any direction by simply pressing the directional pad.

Roster Depth Proving to Be Invaluable.
Perfect your skills on defense and offense in Practice Mode before you guide your team to glory. Battle it out in Exhibition Mode and bring home the championship in Season Mode. Play in multiple seasons as coach, player and general manager, while drafting, trading and signing free agents over several seasons in General Manager Mode.

Coaching Staff Making All the Right Decisions.
Advanced Artificial Intelligence has your opponents learning your tendencies on both sides of the ball. Pass every down and you will be using your back-up quarterback quicker than you would like. Blitz every down and helplessly watch as you’re burned for a long touchdown reception.

Variants

NFL GameDay 2004 got a Canadian release with the usual indifference to how the contents get there. A French Language version of the manual and back insert were literally shrinkwrapped to the back of a US NTSC game case. The French back insert feels like it’s made of a slightly less quality paper.

If you’re trying to cobble together a used copy, note the French manual’s incorrect Sony orange diamond logo. The rest is easy to spot.

Canadian Version – US Game with French assets attached to the back.
