Happy December everyone! With stuffing and cranberry sauce behind us, it’s time to hunker down under warm blankets with some hot cocoa and enjoy the holiday releases. This will be the original PlayStation’s last big holiday with the PS2 taking over, and there’s still a whole lot of heavy hitters coming, especially for role playing game fans. Let’s get into today’s releases.
First out of the bag is Big Ol’ Bass 2 from Konami. The next game in what was once their Fisherman’s Bait series. Bigger, meaner fish await this time.
Our featured game is up next with Disney’s The Lion King: Simba’s Mighty Adventure. Based off the movie of the same name, you play Simba as you work your way around various locations and mini-games.
EA Sports is still active on the platform with two releases today. The first up is their 2-wheeled series with Supercross 2001…
With NCAA March Madness 2001 close behind. Can you make it to the big dance?
Sports continue with Gabby Reece in Power Spike Pro Beach Volleyball. Play as or take on one of the most legendary players in the game!
Our good buddy Rayman returns with an Edutainment title in Rayman Brain Games. Rayman levels have been modified to create math equations and improve reading skills. A nifty take on one of the system’s best mascots.
Finally, The 3DO Company returns with Warriors of Might and Magic. Take on the roll of a man trapped in a ‘mask of shame’ as he realizes he’s the world’s last hope of survival. It will also be available on the PlayStation 2.
No more games till the 8th, but it’s a hell of an RPG…almost literally! See you then.
