Happy October! So for those of you eagerly waiting to line-up for the PlayStation 2 on the 26th, don’t forget the PlayStation’s original gray beast is still alive and well! Today’s 3 releases celebrate speed – the speed of mascots racing, how fast you can break your stock car, and how soon an Alien will eat you!
First out of the gate is Alien Resurrection. Releasing four years after the move’s original release in theaters, the game has an amazing atmosphere and provides the first true step into a new default control scheme – where you use the left analog stick to move and the right analog stick to move around.
Muppet Race Mania provides a family friendly mascot racer with everyone’s favorite felt-covered heroes. A neat twist is that the game tries to place you in their careers – as the tracks are all based on the 6 Muppet Movies. Pretty neat.
Last game on the shelf today is Jarret & Labonte Stock Car Racing from Codemasters. The game looks fantastic with some incredible car damage physics and visuals for the PlayStation.
Finally, a reprieve from releases! I’ll see you on the 10th!
