Trivia
- Released in Japan as Gundam: Battle Master
- Features Mobile Suits from various Gundam series, though in single player mode you are always Heero, regardless of your mech.
- One of only 2 Gundam games released for the US market; Japan got like 13 of them. But then, is that really a surprise?
- The game uses a brilliant programming trick to allow the detail and multiple layers of damage to the mechs. Rather than giant sprites, each robot is constructed of hundreds of mini-sprites, all synchronized in movement to allow the fluid animation and amazing battle damage. It’s also why the game loads so quickly; smaller files take less time to toss up on screen.
- Features one of the most amazing on-screen characters of any fighting game. One of the mechs stands a full screen-and-a-half tall, and is partially blocked by the health and ammo bars.
