April 6, 1999 New Releases: Monster Car Balls

Welcome back, true believers! If yesterday’s deep-thinking games were a bit too much, today’s releases will be a lot more easier to digest. Right out of the gate is Electronic Arts’ Sports Car GT – a racing game with some of the fanciest car licenses in the books. If you’re looking to crash as super expensive car and walk away debt free, check this out.

Once the smoke clears, arcade fans can spend their quarters on the next iteration of Midway’s building bashing game series with Rampage 2: Universal Tour. All new creatures to play with all new moves to jam with creates the perfect chaotic recipe for quarter crunching gamers.

Finally, fans of Bubble Bobble’s Bub and Bob will gleefully welcome Bust-a-Move ’99 to the PlayStation, which is in reality Puzzle Bobble 3. This numbering style will only look stupid if the game warrants a 4th sequel. Some minor tweaks to the game play provide twitchy players something new to bust a move with.
