Trivia
- The end card for each episode, which reads “Corporation for Public Broadcasting,” is off-center.
- The narrators sit next to each tree leaf, using the 16 Tales logo as the leaf detail.
- The series uses a camera focusing on illustrations to weave its visual storytelling. Every so often, you can see a slight hint of a studio light shadow being cast over the corners of the illustration. Some pans and zooms also aren’t smooth, implying the camera operator didn’t have much rigging to work with.
- KLCS is a California-based school program that works with public broadcasting to create an educational broadcast station. It was formed in 1972 in Los Angeles. While the stories they share are timeless, the narrators’ clothing tells you these clips are from the 1970s.
- There are 4 tales per disc, with 4 discs total in the set.
