Trivia
- The end card for each episode, which reads “Corporation for Public Broadcasting,” is off-center.
- Each leaf of the tree the narrators sit next to uses the 16 Tales logo as the leaf detail.
- The series uses a camera focusing on illustrations to weave its visual storytelling. Every so often you can see a small hint of a studio light shadow being cast over the corners of the illustration. Some pans and zooms also aren’t smooth, implying the camera operator didn’t have much rigging to work with.
- KLCS is a California-based school program that works with public broadcasting to create an educational broadcast station. It was formed in 1972 in Los Angeles. While the stories they share are timeless, you can tell these clips are from the 70s from the narrators’ clothing.
- There are 4 tales per disc, with 4 discs total in the set.
