Jan. 29 New Releases: Olympic Tactics

Can you believe we’re at the end of January already? These months need to stop flying by. With one more game coming on the last day of the month, we have two games in today. I feel bad for our first release, Nagano Winter Olympics ’98 because well…it’s a an Olympic game that isn’t the NES Track and Field and it shares today’s release with a game that is going to smoke it out of the stadium.

Jewel Case Release

That other game…is Final Fantasy Tactics. Squaresoft’s legendary series takes a brave, bold, and unbelievable first step into a new genre, and it’s mind-boggling. Beautiful graphics, fantastic character designs on old favorites, addictive gameplay with one of the deepest ability pools I’ve ever seen are all on here. If you even have the slightest interest in tactical RPGs, you really need to snap this up. If this is how the year is starting, we’re going to all be in good hands these next 11 months.

Jewel Case Release

This Anniversary News Update celebrates the Game’s original release date 20 years later. This is part of a series treating the PlayStation as if it launched September 9th, 2015.
