Oct. 1st New Releases: F1 Fatality

HAPPY OCTOBER EVERYONE! I find it highly ironic a month associated with witch’s brews finds the first two game releases both related to “formula” racing. Let’s get down to business…

First game of the month is Formula 1: Championship Edition from the good folks at Psygnosis. Jump back into their ground breaking F1 racer with new features and refinements.

Jewel Case Release

Next up on the F1 world is Sony’s own CART World Series, which now that I think about it, means Sony now has a competition against their own 2nd Party developer Psygnosis. Talk about rivalries!

Jewel Case Release

Last, and certainly not least, is Midway’s first attempt to break off from the one-on-one fighting of Mortal Kombat and attempt the side-scrolling platformer in Mythologies: Sub-Zero. I’m not going to lie – the game is really, really, REALLY rough in the level layout. The CG cut scenes are laughable, but I can applaud the effort to broaden the scope of the MK universe. Early adopters can also snag a sweepstakes entry version.

Tomorrow is another day, with some game called..Castle…vania?

This Anniversary News Update celebrates the Game’s original release date 20 years later. This is part of a series treating the PlayStation as if it launched September 9th, 2015.
