  • The game’s real name is Ace Combat, but due to a legal dispute at the time, it had to be renamed “Air Combat”. The dispute was pushed aside for all future sequels.
  • Still one of the longest running series to launch on the PlayStation along side games like Twisted Medal; meaning there are games for Ace Combat on the PS1, 2, 3.
  • There is a hidden mini-game available on the disc via code.

The Verdict

6.5Good

The Good: Dog-fighting still holds up | Fun Presentation considering age

The Bad: Sparse locales by today’s standards. | Music is useless.
